Abby Johns, L.V.N. Head Nurse
Abby joined our practice in 2021, bringing years of both inpatient and clinical experience after having graduated from Fortis College of Nursing in 2012 as the valedictorian of her nursing class. Abby sees patients pre and post operatively, educating and caring for them through the entire surgical process. Her priority is to create a trusting relationship and ensuring every patient has a comfortable and pleasant experience as well as the highest quality of patient care at Rivela Plastic Surgery.
Regina Riney R.N. Aesthetic Nurse Specialist
As a Registered Nurse Regina has been a part of Rivela Plastic Surgery as our injectable nurse since 2006.
Regina is certified in advanced injection techniques and stays current with the latest technology to help her patients maintain a youthful appearance. Regina is a gentle, caring person, who is highly ambitious, and most importantly, a perfectionist. She finds her greatest rewards in helping make a positive difference in people’s lives. Her compassionate attitude and artistic ability will distinguish Regina from all the other aesthetic nurse specialists. (also an awesome mom of two active kids)
Wendy Satterwhite Licensed Medical Aesthetician
Wendy is a licensed aesthetician who, since 2005, has held her certification in Advanced Medical Aesthetics and specializes in both acne and anti-aging procedures. She has worked as a licensed and certified Medical Aesthetician & Body Contouring Technician since 2005 and is our leading authority on CoolSculpting and non-surgical body sculpting technologies. When she isn’t busy being a mom, baking or making people look and feel beautiful, Wendy attends conferences and advanced training because she feels it is very important to stay current with the rapidly growing medical skincare field.
Her experience and personal touch will help you achieve healthy skin and minimize the signs of aging. Wendy has been with Rivela Plastic Surgery since 2010. ( Wife of a Houston Police Officer and mom of two daughters.)
Tracy Mize Front Office Manager
Tracy has been the Front Office Manager with Rivela Plastic Surgery since 1999 and has been an important part of our team since 1998. Growing up with this office has given Tracy very strong, trustworthy relationships with our patients. One of her best attributes is her caring and gentle spirit which allows her to meet the needs and discuss all goals and desires with each individual patient.
Tracy and her staff are happy to provide each patient with all initial information about their procedure of interest and schedules their consultation as well as assist them throughout their care. Helping with options for financing and any additional information is one of her specialties. (Tracy is a mom to two little four-legged barks and two human stepchildren.)
Naedgela Collins M.A. Surgery Coordinator
Naedgela has been with Rivela Plastic Surgery since 2011 where she will personally meet with patients during their initial consultation; coordinating their surgery date and discussing any special needs they may have.
Her experience as a certified medical assistant allows her to assist Dr. Rivela and our nurses in patient-care offering each of our patients impeccable bedside manner. One of her many skills is handling the complexities of insurance, pre-certification and pre-authorization for surgeries. Her upbeat and kind personality allows each patient to feel comfortable while discussing any goals and challenges they may have.In addition to being an M.A., Naedgela is a mom to a wonderful little girl.
Rebecca Cardenas Bilingual Receptionist and Front Office Assistant
Joining our practice in 2012, Rebecca is our wonderful bilingual front office assistant who translates for our Spanish speaking patients. She is the friendly voice you will hear when calling our office, and the smiling face that will greet you when you check in for your appointment. At the front desk, she will assist patients as they check in and out, and will answer and direct phone calls. She is attentive and friendly, making her a natural fit for the position.
From the moment patients walk through the doors or speak to Rebecca on the phone, they feel that she is there to help.
Angel Porter R.N.F.A. Surgery Nurse, Registered Nurse First Assist
Angel has been a registered nurse, first assist with Rivela Plastic Surgery since 2009. Earning her nursing degree at Imperial Valley College in 1998 has allowed her to gain the knowledge and experience to assist Dr. Rivela in all surgeries. Her efficient and diligent attitude while in surgery are some of her best attributes. Being a well-trained surgical first assistant allows her to be an outstanding patient advocate. Her professional surgical skills helps ensure each patient receives the best operative outcome.
Christella Matta Glo Mineral Makeup Expert and Licensed Aesthetician
Christella Matta is a Licensed Cosmetologist trained and 3x Certified in Microblading and Eyelash extensions. She specializes in Microblading, Microshading, Powder Brows, Brow Lamination and Volume Eyelash Extensions. Christella relies on her 18 +years of makeup in the beauty industry, attention to detail and customer service skills to ensure she deliveries a wonderful experience while creating custom cosmetic artistry. Christella is passionate about her work and truly believes that eyebrows and eyelashes are the most important features of the face.
When Christella is not brow sculpting or lashing she enjoys hanging out with her son and twin girls.
Patti Rivela Marketing Director and Community Outreach
Since 1999, Patti has worked with Tracy Mize to write and design our marketing campaigns to recognize the innate beauty in everyone. As part of celebrating inner beauty, With Patti’s help, Rivela Plastic Surgery participates in various forms of community outreach through out the year such as providing and funding weekly art therapy classes at our local battered women’s shelter.
Darlene Lazo Medical Assistant
Darlene is a Medical Assistant. She has been with Rivela Plastic Surgery since 2010. You will first meet her during patient consultations where she assists in the plan of care that will best fit each patient’s goals. Her smiling face and friendly personality will make you feel at ease throughout your journey. In addition, she is bilingual and translates for our Spanish-speaking patients.
Dennis and Joe Hernandez Certified Hair Restoration Technicians
Both specializing in FUE and FUET, Dennis has 11 years and Joe has 21 years experience in the hair restoration industry, having traveled all throughout the US as experts in their field. Both are passionate about their work and feel creating a custom hair line and growth pattern is an artistry.
